AI Trading Mentor

Ask an AI mentor about any indicator, strategy or asset. Answers are educational only — never financial advice. Practice what you learn on the free simulator with $100,000 virtual cash.

What the AI mentor does

The mentor is a chat assistant that explains trading concepts, indicators, order types and strategies in plain language, and comments on the practice trades in your simulated journal. It is a study aid: it explains why a moving-average crossover is a lagging signal, or what your win-rate and average-loss numbers imply about your sizing.

What it will not do

  • It does not give buy or sell recommendations, price targets or personalised financial advice.
  • It does not know your real financial circumstances and cannot assess suitability.
  • It can be wrong. Language models make confident factual errors; verify anything that matters against a primary source.
  • It is not a substitute for a licensed professional in your own jurisdiction.

Getting useful answers

Ask about mechanics rather than outcomes. 'What does implied volatility do to an option's price into earnings?' is a good question. 'Should I buy this?' is not, and the mentor will decline it. Pair every answer with a practice trade so the concept becomes procedural rather than theoretical.

Good questions to ask it

  • Explain what happens to a call option's value if the stock does not move for two weeks.
  • What is the difference between a stop-loss order and a stop-limit order, and when does each fail?
  • My practice win rate is 60% but I am down overall — what does that imply about my exits?
  • Why do forex pairs move on interest-rate announcements?
  • Walk me through how position size is calculated from account risk and stop distance.

How it works and what it costs

The mentor runs on large language models through the site's backend, with a fallback chain so an outage at one provider does not take the feature down. It is free to use and there is no message quota for normal use.

Conversations are used to produce your answer and are not sold or used to build an advertising profile. Because language models can be confidently wrong, every substantive answer should be checked against the linked lessons or an authoritative source before you rely on it.

A reminder about limits

No assistant, however fluent, can assess whether a trade suits your finances, and none of the answers here are regulated advice. Treat the mentor as a patient tutor for mechanics and vocabulary, and take anything that sounds like a recommendation as a sign the question needs rewording.

Educational simulation only — not financial advice. TradeHQ is a free educational paper-trading simulator. No real money is traded and no content here is a recommendation.
