Information TradeHQ Handles

TradeHQ can be used without creating an account. The data handled depends on the features you choose.

• Guest simulator data: practice cash, positions and trade history are stored in your browser with a separate browser-local recovery copy. You can download or explicitly restore a portable practice backup JSON file containing trading history and any private journal notes. The backup feature does not upload this file. Backup formats can be manually edited: TradeHQ validates file structure and arithmetic but does not certify authenticity, investment performance or leaderboard ranking. An imported guest file remains unverified. Guest learning-journey progress, course progress, streaks and related settings remain browser-stored. For signed-in users, lesson completion, unfinished quiz answers, reading position and first-trade journey progress may also be saved privately in Supabase and synchronized across devices when online. Streaks and unrelated browser preferences are not part of this account sync. • Signed-in portfolio data: Supabase stores account cash, positions and server-recorded practice orders, including asset, quantity, execution price, fees, time and simulated result. These account records restore across devices when the service is available. Signed-in users can also download a server-signed current-cycle historical practice export and verify its integrity against their authenticated account. This file may contain account identifiers and private transaction details; it is not publicly shared or accepted as an upload that replaces ranked trades. A first-time browser import stores cash and positions as an unranked portfolio; earlier guest trade history stays in its original browser. Starting a fresh ranked practice cycle archives the previous account snapshot privately. Journals remain browser-held; signed-in lesson and beginner-journey progress can sync privately and are not used to determine public trading ranks. • Optional account data: if you create an account, Supabase processes authentication data such as your email or provider identity and can store profile fields including username, country and bio. • Community data: signed-in features can store selected practice statistics, public-profile settings, reviews and duel/challenge records. A separate setting, OFF by default, lets a member voluntarily disclose up to 20 current-cycle server-recorded simulated trade entries on an otherwise public profile: asset, buy/sell, quantity, execution price, fee and date. Private journals, reflections, past cycles and browser-only records are never shared by this feature. These are simulated results, not brokerage statements or verified real-money performance. • Review interactions: likes are stored with your account ID and the review ID to enforce one like per account. Public pages show totals, not individual liker identities. Owner replies are public. Reviews removed from public view remain in the private admin panel for restoration. • Optional TradeHQ Weekly: if you explicitly request the educational newsletter, TradeHQ stores your email address, consent/confirmation status, the date and source of signup, unsubscribe status, and delivery receipts in private Supabase records. Resend handles email delivery and receives your address for confirmations and issues. We never add prior contact records to the mailing list without permission. Every newsletter provides an unsubscribe link, and you may use the contact page to request deletion. • Contact messages: by default the contact page opens your email app or lets you copy a draft into webmail. If the optional direct-send service is configured, Cloudflare Turnstile processes challenge and connection information and Resend processes the message, sender reply address and recipient information to deliver it to the maintainer's inbox. TradeHQ does not retain direct-send message bodies in its application database. The maintainer's email provider retains delivered messages according to its settings. • Technical data: hosting, authentication, security and abuse-prevention services can receive normal request information such as IP address, browser/device information and server logs. • Optional analytics and advertising data: after the applicable consent choice, Amplitude may receive analytics/session-replay data and Google AdSense may use cookies or similar identifiers for ad delivery, measurement and, where permitted by the user's choices and region, personalization.

TradeHQ does not require a payment card, bank account or brokerage account to place simulated trades.

How Information Is Used

TradeHQ uses data only for the feature that needs it: operating the simulator, authenticating optional accounts, showing profile/community features, preventing abuse, responding to messages, delivering a voluntarily confirmed TradeHQ Weekly subscription, diagnosing problems and improving the service.

Amplitude is used for product analytics and may include session replay when analytics consent is granted. This can record interactions such as navigation and clicks subject to the provider's masking and privacy controls.

Google AdSense provides advertising and regional advertising privacy choices. Ad delivery depends on Google's site approval and settings. If advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may place or read cookies and use similar technologies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Third parties may collect information as a result of ad serving. Advertising cookies can reflect prior visits to TradeHQ or other sites and, where consent and law permit, support personalised ads. These uses remain subject to the applicable privacy choices. Advertising may be personalized, non-personalized or limited depending on consent, location and Google settings.

TradeHQ does not sell simulated portfolio data to brokers or financial institutions and does not execute real-money trades.

Storage, Visibility & Retention

Browser data remains on the device until the browser, the user or TradeHQ's own reset controls remove it. Clearing all site data also removes browser-local recovery copies; download a portfolio backup to preserve it separately. Clearing browser data removes local records; it does not delete a signed-in portfolio already stored in Supabase.

Optional account and community data can be stored by Supabase for as long as the related account or feature requires it. Newsletter consent records and delivery receipts are retained while relevant to operating the requested subscription, unsubscribe suppression, and compliance; contact TradeHQ to request deletion or information. New accounts start with a private profile. You may explicitly make your profile public later; only then can chosen profile fields and selected simulated statistics appear on public pages. Existing members retain their chosen visibility, and public trade-history sharing remains a separate off-by-default permission.

Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the settings and policies of the relevant provider. TradeHQ does not state a fixed retention period where it cannot verify one.

TradeHQ uses hosted infrastructure and access controls intended to protect stored data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Age and Optional Features

The core simulator works without an account. The optional account flow does not ask for age, so TradeHQ does not determine a visitor's age from that form.

Public profiles and community features can publish the information and simulated statistics you choose to share. Avoid including private or sensitive information in public fields. A parent or guardian can use the contact page to raise a privacy concern involving a young user.

An advertising consent choice alone does not determine age or replace age-specific advertising protections where they apply.

Service Providers, Cookies & Your Choices

TradeHQ relies on third parties including Cloudflare Pages for hosting, Supabase for optional authentication/database features, Resend for explicitly requested newsletter emails and contact messages, Amplitude for consented analytics/session replay, and Google AdSense for consented advertising. These providers can process data in countries other than your own under their own legal and contractual arrangements.

Optional Amplitude analytics scripts are blocked until you accept analytics. You can reject analytics and change that choice later from this privacy page. Analytics acceptance does not grant advertising consent.

TradeHQ is configured to use Google's consent-management platform for regional advertising choices in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland. Availability of the published message depends on Google's configuration and the visitor's region; an unavailable message does not constitute consent. The Google message lets you consent, decline or manage individual options. When it applies, use Advertising privacy choices on this page or in the footer to change or withdraw your decision.

In supported US states, Google's Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising. Google applies restricted data processing to applicable opt-out requests. These regional messages manage Google's advertising partners; optional Amplitude analytics are controlled separately.

You can also clear browser storage/cookies, use browser privacy controls and manage ad personalization through Google Ads Settings. When the Google message is available, its partner list describes the vendors and purposes covered by your advertising choices.

Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing. Use the TradeHQ contact page for a privacy request. The exact rights available depend on your jurisdiction.

Cookies and analytics

TradeHQ stores guest practice records in local browser storage. Account cash, positions and server-recorded trades are stored with Supabase. Optional analytics and advertising services can use cookies or similar identifiers after the applicable consent choice; the privacy policy explains those providers and controls.

Data you can send us, and what happens to it

• Contact messages: kept only as long as needed to answer you.
• Reviews: published with your chosen display name, and removable on request.
• Accounts: email address and server-recorded practice trades and holdings; deletable on request. Guest practice, journal notes and Daily reflections remain browser-specific; signed-in lessons and beginner-journey progress can sync privately between devices when online.
• Public trader profiles and duels: profile fields and selected simulated statistics can be public. New accounts start private; you can make your profile public from your profile page.

Children and jurisdiction

The core simulator works without an account, and optional signup does not collect age. Advertising availability depends on provider approval, settings and applicable consent choices; advertising consent is not an age check. Parents or guardians can raise privacy concerns through the contact page. TradeHQ holds no funds and executes no real trades. This policy does not determine the legal classification of the service or certify compliance in every jurisdiction.

Changes and contact

TradeHQ does not sell simulated portfolio data to brokers. Optional analytics and advertising are separate third-party services described in the privacy policy and are subject to the user's applicable consent choices.

If this policy changes materially, the updated text appears on this page. Questions about what is stored, requests for a copy of account data, and deletion requests all go through the contact page and are handled by the person who maintains the site rather than an automated system.
