What the leaderboard shows

All public practice profiles can appear without a minimum trade count. Comparable portfolios receive numbered practice ranks after their first server-recorded trade, ordered by simulated return. Unranked members appear separately. New accounts start private and may opt in to public visibility from their profile. Values use a $100,000 virtual starting balance and display quote freshness and simulation status.

There is no prize, no fee and no real money involved. Use the scoreboard as a prompt to review exposure, costs and assumptions; rank alone does not measure a reliable method.

How to read a ranking without fooling yourself

• A large return over a handful of trades is insufficient evidence of skill; inspect exposure and the full record.
• Compare drawdown alongside return — a 60% gain that survived a 40% drawdown is a fragile method.
• Short windows can hide adverse paths and sample uncertainty. Compare consistent periods before drawing a conclusion.
• Nobody's practice ranking is a recommendation to copy their trades.

Why we show it at all

The practice board provides an optional comparison of simulated records. A ranking can prompt a discussion about exposure and assumptions, but no improvement in habits or financial results is established by participation. There is no reward.

Ranked practice uses server-recorded orders. Previous results preserve earlier browser-reported summaries separately, with their last-reported date. They do not enter current rankings and are not verified investment returns.

Privacy on the leaderboard

• New accounts start private. Only profiles that their owners explicitly make public show selected profile fields and simulated statistics.
• Only your chosen display name and simulated statistics appear — never an email address.
• You can stop publishing at any time and the entry is removed.

• Do I have to appear here? No. New profiles start private, and you may opt into public visibility at any time from your profile page.
• Is there a prize? No. There is no money, no entry fee and nothing to win.
• Can I see someone's trades? Only if that member independently opts in to showing recent current-cycle server-recorded practice orders on an otherwise public profile. Private journal entries and browser-only history never appear.
• How often does it update? Held assets are checked in the background every five minutes, with traditional instruments rotating through a limited batch. The visible board refreshes every minute. Provider delays and outages can leave older quotes; unsupported assets use fixed simulator prices.
• Who appears? All public members, including accounts with no trades. Only comparable server-recorded portfolios receive practice ranks after a first trade; imported portfolios stay unranked.
