About this track
Biases, tilt, discipline — the mental game that decides the P&L game.
The most sophisticated system in the world fails if the trader running it is emotionally compromised. This track teaches the cognitive biases, emotional dysregulation patterns, and concrete rituals professional traders use to stay in the game.
What you will be able to do
- Name the specific biases most likely to affect your own decisions, with an example from your own trade log.
- Recognise the physical and behavioural signs of tilt early enough to stop trading.
- Keep a trade journal that records reasoning before the outcome is known, which is the only version that is useful.
- Follow a written pre-market and post-market routine that does not depend on motivation.
- Distinguish between a losing trade that followed the plan and a winning trade that broke it.
Before you start
None. This is the recommended starting track for anyone new, and the most useful one to revisit after a losing streak. Having a handful of practice trades already logged makes the exercises concrete, but you can start with an empty journal.
How the lessons build
The track begins with biases because you cannot correct a pattern you cannot name. Tilt and revenge trading follow, since those are the acute failures that turn a manageable drawdown into a serious one. The journal lesson then supplies the instrument for observing both, and the final lesson turns those observations into daily rituals — the point where the material stops being knowledge and becomes behaviour.
Who this track is not for
This track does not address clinical mental health, gambling addiction or financial distress, and it is not a substitute for professional support. If trading is causing you real financial or psychological harm, please speak to a qualified professional rather than reading another lesson on discipline.
